This lad - YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
It's slow, melodic, the original lyrics already mention sea etc. Nice
Exactly. Sung really slowly it would be ace.

Ruby by Kaiser Cheifs could easily be made into a cracking tune?
Exactly. Sung really slowly it would be ace.
.... and exactly when do you visualise anything sung slowly in the North Stand?...... chipmunks on speed remember,..... a la GOSBTSExactly. Sung really slowly it would be ace.
said it before but still think the littlest hobo would work really well
I actually think that the "new" north stand chant sounded superb, but as an alternative I thought the "Over the Rainbow" version at "Brighton 'til I die" with the following (slightly amended) lines would be brilliant:-
"Somewhere over the Amex
Seagulls fly
And I know that forever
I'm Brighton 'til I die"
I remember starting a thread about it. The words are PERFECT for our recent history:
There's a voice that keeps on calling me
Down the road is where I'll always be
Every stop I make, I'll make a new friend
Can't stay for long, just turn around and I'm gone again
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want settle down
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on
Down this road, that never seems to end
Where new adventure, lies just around the bend
So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That's hobo style
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want settle down
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home
So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That's hobo style
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want settle down
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on
(Instrumental Break)
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want settle down
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on
There's a world, that's waiting to unfold
A brand new tale, no one has ever told,
We've journey'd far but, you know it won't be long
We're almost there and we've paid our fare with the hobo song
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want settle down
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on
So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That's hobo style
Maybe tomorrow, I'll find what I call home
Until tomorrow, you know I'm free to roam
Absolutely! Some of the suggestions I've seen in the past (not on this thread) have been verse, chorus, verse, chorus, middle eight, etc. You need four or six different lines at the most (repitition is ok), any more than that and we'll all have to stay behind afterwards for choir practice.are you mad Walt..... most of these guys struggle to remember the correct words for GOSBTS, how the hell will they absorb that lot.........?
We used to sing that! Only we'd alter the words to whoever we were playing:Im sure something could work with Boomtown Rats - don't like Mondays
Tell me why
I don't like Palace
Tell me why
I don't like Palace
