Brighton and proud of it. Most people have heard of the Albion here because they all do the lotto and study the form. Some have even heard of Crawley!!!! Every semester I indoctrinate my Ss and show them seasgulls player videos at break. Some have even started playing the Albion on FM20111= rather than Galatasaray, besiktas or Fener... some achievement!

Oh, my daughter (5) wants a pink Brighton shirt a la Gully's Girls. Are they for sale?

I was born in Belfast & brought up in London. My connection with Brighton (tenuous as it is) is that I was brought to watch a match in 1975 whilst on a CCHF holiday & was hooked from that moment on. I will live in Brighton one day & am happy to tell people that I love Brighton as a city as well as a football club.

I say from Brighton and generally find quite a few Maltese have been to the UK on holiday and have been to Brighton. Not many comment about the gay thing. It's usually brits who say that.
The Maltese just don't get the idea that someone from the UK would support a team outside of the top 4 in the premier league.
Maltese football fans are either English premier or Serie A followers and the same in internationals (World cups are fun!)

Of the English league they are mostly Manure (about 90%) there are supporters clubs for Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal.

East Grinstead, that really confuses the Yanks. Once the obvious "do you support Man Utd" is out of the way I find myself explaining (not for much longer hopefully) that we are two leagues down from the Premiership, followed by the ground story and how we are on the up. Feel really proud of The Albion again, have seen a couple of games this season, Rochdale (H) and Charlton (A), looks like I'll be back for Saints game and planning Summer holiday around first game at Falmer. Up the Albion.

I say I'm from Brighton and I'm proud of it. A lot of the kids from here go to England to Uni, quite a few to Brighton of Sussex, so the town is well known and many here say they know it.

My Saturday morning breakfast stop is a little cafe called the Brighton Rock, because the Cypriot owners used to live in Brighton and ran a steak house in Preston Street.

It's a small world.
