One of sad things about this that gets lost is that there will be a generation of young Spurs fans for whom Berbatov was God. Now it up to the parents to explain that Berbatov didn't really give a f*** about Spurs, the fans or anything to do with the club at all.

Well done, Dimi, way to leave on a good note you Bulgarian kunt!

Isn't that just how the vast majority of players are, or would be, given the chance?

There aren't many Ryan Giggs around any more.

We rarely talk about football as I work with him and as you can probably tell I tend to lose my rag when discussing ManUre. Not a very good thing to do when your a manager of an Insurance company - doesn't look good to the staff!!

Sorry where's your logic there? Berbatov kicks up fuss after fuss, says he wants to leave, goes to Old Trafford and negotiates a contract and has a medical without any permission from his club. Zamora, on the other hand, waited it patiently out here, before the club accepted a bid, he went to Spurs, signed a contract and the deal was done. Where are the parallels?

Zamora went on to better himself, play a higher standard of football and have a huge pay rise (leaving behind fans who worshipped him)

same as Berbatov as far as i can see.

Good luck to them i say its what makes the football world go round....we do it, we buy players from smaller clubs .....no problem there............you seriously CANNOT blame Berbatov for wanting to play champions league football at his time of life can you? I was gutted when Zamora left Brighton but he left for a club who could offer him things we could not. No difference in my book. And as for not having permission from his club...............do you reckon Spurs and their fans wanted a player who wanted to play for another club.........and they got a tidy profit from it. Everyones happy..........Spurs.........United.........and player............no problem

Would you still be happy for him if he went to City or Liverpool mate.

I suspect not because he would be banging them in against U**ted.

Not bothered where he went ..........for what its worth i dont think he is worth 30 million but ferguson has a knack of bringing out the best in certain players. i dont care because Brighton are my first concern and would have liked to have seen some transfer movement involving us. Some people on here (well no everywhere) seem to vent all their anger at a team which has little connection with the likes of us (unless we are lucky enough to draw them in the cup) Remember United seem to be at the top of the tree in some peoples eyes at the old corruption game when all the top clubs are at it. Seems like the green-eyed monster grabs some people and the most successfull and popullar club cops it because what they do well......they do well.
