. . . as the season peters out into nothing
Mid table mediocrity - quite an unaccustomed feeling for the Albion
Where are we going to finish next year ?

OK order of priority of the three?

Mine is

1 Richards
2 Racon
3 Westlake

But i think we will only get Westlake

Hope i am wrong

That's my priority too but Racon is only here to get a bit of football under his belt - Charlton paid £430K for him and, even if they did want to sell him, which as I understand it they do not they would want to recoup the majority of that and I don't think we have that sort of money. Likewise Westlake. Personally speaking I think we should approach Bertin - he wants to come back here and he would do a bloody good job. I realise this will not be popular with most of the posters on here but, if he has dropped his agent (and if he hasn't why not), I think we should go for it. I think we may possibly have a chance with signing Matt Richards.

Heard from a VERY reliable source Westlake is on his way here permanant.

Bertin is a good player but would he want to come back?

Richards would be the one i really want though Any idea how much Ipswich paid for him?

It sounds like it's the end of the season for us now. Next year we really do need to inject a bit of pace into the squad. Most of the players that we have are just so slow and predictable that it's embarrassing. We also need to learn how to take free kicks and corners at pace, ideally clearing the opposition's defence in the process. I'm getting so tired of the lethargic, slow, ponderous approach we take to games which is dull in the extreme. Roll on August and the new campaign.

I am very dissapointed in our end to the season.

After the excellent performance at Leeds and seemly at Forest, the last two results have cast a shadow over the rest of the season and whereas I was expecting a bumper crowd for Hartlepool and certainly Swansea, I can see crowds fizzling out.

If we lose at Luton, I can see a sub 4000 crowd against hartlepool

I would go so far as to send racon, westlake etc back now, with our thanks and play the likes of Fogen and the other youngsters

End of One season start of another....TFC

Part of Me is glad, we can play competitively next year instead of struggle, start to bolster our team ready for 2010...its not that far away, then with money and true supporters starting to fill Falmer, we can happily move up and compete at the next two levels

Go Seagulls Go

Richards is a product of the Ipswich youth system so its hard to say what they want for him if they are going to be looking to arrange something perm.
