Sky were keen to remind us that Wolves dropped 2 from a winning position. But so did we.....

At least they weren't BT, who spent 2 hours this afternoon sucking Leeds' dicks as Spurs comfortably wiped the floor with them. I've never heard such saccharine sycophancy from a commentary team towards a team in front of them getting their arses handed to them on a plate (again).

But perhaps thats for another thread.

Enjoyed the likenings to the hapless '98 side that stayed up this week. As well as the dismal home record, the current bottom three could be the PL equivalents of Donny in saving us from staying up on merit. Can imagine us giving Fulham their only remaining three points of the season, although we could also overtake Burnley when we play them, looking at their fixtures.

Just need to patch up Wellbeck and Lallana for a couple of games, then look ahead to a dazzlingly bright future in which at least three other sides also flop next season.

Still don't think that either Burnley or the Toon are that much so its one of four at the bottom to accompany the doomed WBA and Sheffield Utd.

We play the prettiest football but not at all sure that will help.

O k , we are not Man U.... we can't expect that every home game will be a win....but if we won a few in between draws that would be fine. The trouble is that we don't, or haven't been , so every game now is a need to win.
Seen by itself it was a good game and a great comeback. .in the context of our season and leage position it was points lost, again

Burnley have stopped conceding goals. It doesn’t half help if you don’t need to score 4 to win a game at home.

Normally I'd say one point gained.

Given our position, needing a win, it's two dropped.

But, considering we were dead and buried at half-time though, definitely one point gained.

Point gained. Striker scores by making good run on to a decent cross. Better defending from corners - if still not good enough. Better attacking from corners. Aggression and intensity in the second half. Some positives. Now let’s play 2 midfielders in midfield, give the manager a proper LB and decent CF, and generally not over complicate things. Would be ok then.

A point gained, given that last 20 minutes of the first half. Was the cliche "A tale of two halves".

Can that second half be our turning point? Maupay was very keen to tell all the press about how he called for more battle and effort at half time, and I have to assume it was taken well by the squad - and probably not just him saying it too. They've guy to keep that fire.

I don’t really say too much about Brighton games because I’m relatively new to supporting them and don’t really have the right relative to y'all who have given so much after so many years. I can say, however, it can take just one calling out and some proof to change the stars of a team that should be performing better than they are. Reading Maupay’s words and seeing how they responded in the second half is giving me some real hope it might change some things.

Got into a discussion with my Pulisic jersey wearing neighbor (I live in America) that I expected us to get 8 points in December due to a tough schedule to start the year. Really think we needed a player to call the struggles out and hopefully move on past that ailment. I love that Potter seems to be changing the day to day culture and image of how Brighton plays and produces players and I’m still a believer it’s the way to go.

Like the United last gasp winner knocked the stuffing out of us (I think), the Wolves comeback could provide the spark and belief we need. The team has badly lacked confidence for a while now imo

Who the hell knows though, this is the Albion

Certainly hope so, but I had noticed Potter wasn't in his tracksuit and looked dapper; perhaps this is the way forward.

The turning point of the season could be their forward missing that absolute sitter of a header in the last minute.
If that had gone in, we were done this season.
It didn’t though.....
The boys now need to make that massive stroke of luck count.
