She has a habit of missing offsides in our games. I remember her running the line at the Goldstone in about 1994 against Peterborough in the fog. I think they ended up with 9 men, but she let a goal stand for them that was miles offside. However it evened itself out a few years later...

IMHO, Richard Beeby is an outstanding ref whilst Wendy Toms is political correctness gone mad. As a ref, she can get away with it but running the line, she is far too slow. It will be like the Crewe lino all over again, I fear.

Knowing all the rules isn't good enough. Keeping level with the line of play is required. With some of the fat linos we have seen over the last few years, the fitness test must have been relaxed.
