I played online roulette for about 15 minutes back in 2003. There was a 'free' £30 for signing up, and I managed to turn this into £180 within 5 minutes. Then it started going wrong, went up and down for a bit, eventually crashred out to zero, put another £50 of my money in, thenm another, then switched it off. £180 up to £100 down in 10 minutes as a poor recently-married student left me shaking a little bit. I have never gone near online gambling again.

I have no idea why people play these machines they are 100% fixed.

They are not fixed, but just as in the real world the maths favours the house.
Same with fruit machines - anyone who plays them is a toby.
