The way I see it is like this:

Worst case scenario: We lose. We're still above palace. In fact we could lose the following week as well and still be above them.

Best Case Scenario: On live TV, in front of the watching world we beat Palace, on Zaha's 400th appearance(I think), in their back yard to go TOP OF THE LEAGUE. How unbelievably sweet would that be? How unbelievably amazing for those that go to sing We're Brighton And Hove Albion, we're top of the league at Selhurst?

Yes, yes Palace might beat us and we miss out on going top for a week but it's precisely because that might happen that we should enjoy dreaming now. It's what being a fan is all about, no? Not being po-faced miserablists.

Come on the Albion!!!

This has to now be Ultimate 21st Century NSC.
In no particular order we have:-

- Albion palace.
- Potential top of the league dreams.
- Brexit.
- Panic buying.
- F1 to shite on.
- Anti BBC
- Bottom of the league memories.
- Selfishness.
- Anti government.
- Belgium football.

A bit of travel, music, betting and posters completely out of touch with the 21st century.

Come on Donny T say something really really stooopid and the house will be full.

It's all quite comforting really!

Who in their wildest imaginations at the start of the season would have dared to think that we are a win away from being top?

If any of us had made such a prediction on here, we would have been laughed off the forum. But here we are.

Extraordinary times!

Shane Duffy providing the assist for Jurgen Locadia to complete a hat trick and put us top of the Premier League, I really dare to dream.

Where have all these JCLs come from on here? Talking gibberish about plucky little Brighton being top 'o the [premier] league

All the old-timers would know Brighton has the highest propensity in the land to fluff-up opportunities like this.

Keep the faith, we won't get relegated this season.

JCL? The only JCL I know is Job Control Language (on IBM mainframes). Oops - just given away my vintage.

Seriously, I can't remember being this excited, since the last time I was this excited, which was on a romantic, gastronomic trip to Paris with the wife a few years ago.

I'm a bit worried about the old ticker though. I seem to be getting over excited a day too early.

I’m excited but kind of relaxed at the same time. Can’t wait for the game and will be like the proverbial kid on Xmas Eve tonight as winning would be so, so sweet…….but we’re going to finish the weekend in the top 6 anyway and currently miles clear of the bottom three (which even more joyously contains Leeds and Burnley). All the Wankpuffins on social media have to hang on to is that they might ‘stop us going top of the PL’. Let that sink in eh ? :)

If we were going into this game on 2 or 3 points I’d be much less relaxed !

Nail on head. We've made such a good start to the season, that if we lose, hey, it's ok. Obviously, I hope we crush them into the dirt.

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow night. The beers are chillin'.

Dazzer, I expect yours are chillin' and gorillin'.

I was thinking of how I'd like this game to go. If I could write the script, I'd have Palace 2-0 up at HT. Listen to all the pundits slate us & heap praise on Viera.
Then 2nd half, total domination & a Maupay hat trick, with the winner in the 93rd minute. Scenes.

after this we are home to arsenal and away to Norwich both winnable. We could STILL be top when we face Man City on 26th in a likely 1st vs 2nd match :albion2:

Why would you write that?

Can't you just be happy/surprised/excited/nervous about tomorrow.
Projecting 3 weeks of wins is the work of a madman.

If anyone is looking for a place in North East London, half a dozen Albion fans and their kids will be decked in blue and white at the Coppermill arms in Walthamstow tomorrow night.

Precisely.

It's like researching the names you want to give your first-born and the later siblings, after getting someone to agree to a first date.

Have you thought about sourcing some beta blockers off the intern....

Oh, right, yes. Scrub that.

seriously what drugs r u on? how is that any different from the thousands of threads on here last season about "how many points will we get from the next x games?" and similar like when we got near the relegation zone at any time in the past 4 seasons and people coming out with comments like "well we should beat x and y at home and then we are mathematically safe" etc etc

Might want to remind ourselves that it was Crystal Palace who defeated us for the first time at the AMEX, and prevented us going top of the league, this very day ten years ago.

Don't get too excited.
