It's funny the number of people who, with a straight face, disappear during the bad times and come back when we win and ask where all the moaners are.

Ignoring the hypocrisy, there's some rather odd logic at work if you expect people who moan after poor performances and/or poor results to moan after wins...

Its funny how all the moaners disappear when we win. Rather odd logic at work if you expect people who support the club when we are having a rough time to not crow about it when we win.

Swindon were truly awful and for 40 mins the sides looked well matched. I am happy to celebrate the win, God knows we needed it, but we still look a worse side than at the end of last season.

..and for the benefit of those "who have supported the club through thick and thin, when you queue up for your tickets for Wembley, dont go to the Ticket Office at the Goldstone. It isn't there anymore. I am sure buses will be laid on for the hoardes of faithful supporters who have not got a clue about this club.

But you're not crowing about a win, you're trying to score points against people who don't walk around with blind faith.

Negative supporters will moan when we lose and keep silent when we win. Nothing wrong with that, like there's nothing wrong with positive people crowing when we win and staying silent when we lose.

I'm not criticising anyone who congratulates the team for a win. I'm criticising those who seem to expect people to come out and moan when we are successful, as if their absence on these occasions somehow undermines their previous complaints, or devalues their opinions. Especially those who have not posted since september.

If, as a positive supporter, you only come out when we win, you have no right to ask where the moaners are when they disappear if we're not losing.

I think the definition of a loyal supporter is someone who had a season ticket at the Goldstone, Gillingham, Withdean, pays up each year, goes to every match, and supports the team. It is probably not someone who makes regular postings to this web site. Tardy of me not to have posted since September.

The tragedy about Northstandchat is that there are too many here who adore failure and crave for sackings, departures and more gloom and doom.

Spot on there that man. Some people have no faith and clearly don't understand that it's a WHOLE SEASON that counts. Wait until May to judge !!!

I think the definition of segue is the means of linking two topics of conversation that are not obviously linked.

Sorry, I thought we were introducing irrelevant definitions into our discussion. I never brought up loyal fans, this isn't a discussion about loyal fans, it's about positive and negative fans, it's about fans in both camps disappearing when they have nothing to say and one side criticising the other for doing it too.

You can be a loyal fan and be positive, you can be a loyal fan and be negative, you can also be a loyal fan and be one of the aforementioned hypocrites.

If you don't like NSC make your next disappearance from here permanent, no one is forcing you to come here and post your double standards.

Great! I'm a loyal supporter! Not bad considering I haven't been to a game for nearly 2 years!
