Instead of clogging up the board with rumours, speculation and suggestions, lets all try and keep it to one thread !

If Leeds are going to take Mackail Smith off our hands then I'd expect over £3million but personally I can't see it. Would anyone take a swap deal with McCormack ?

Right....

So you want to stop "clogging up" a football forum with threads about possible new Brighton Players....

Surely that is a primary function of the Board? It is certainly the reason I come on here.

Why not try to do something about all the other senseless drivel that has nothing what so ever to do with Brighton & Hove Albion FC?

Personally I think if I was CMS I would be looking to go.

I don't think our style of play suits him. By the end of the season his confidence was so low he could hardly control a simple ball to feet.

If he has another poor season with us his career is shot as no-one will want him. I think he needs to change clubs to try and get his form back.

If we sold CMS I'd like to think we'd sign Rhodes or possibly someone even better, but unless someone quality is coming in I hope we don't sell him. If it's a swap deal they'd have to pay a fair bit in our direction too.

Offical rumour from Gus

Not many strikers available for him to bid for, but he will keep trying
Gus Poyet has told seagulls.co.uk that finding a striker is proving tough but hopes he might be able to add at least one new face this week.

The Albion boss, speaking after the 5-0 win over Maidstone United, explained, "It is difficult because with strikers there are not many and the few that there are, they are very expensive.

"So it is difficult to get one. We will see though, we are working. We are still in a good situation with a few - not many but a few - so we will see if we can develop it in the right way.

"I think we have more options with midfielders. There are more possibilities, so it may be easier somehow. We are looking forward to see if we can do at least one deal this week."

Why would we sell a signature signing, who when you talk to him is very happy here, Gus really loves him (calls him my most expensive signing) and we are building a team where Gus is struggling to get quality forwards to play alongside/rotate with him.

Marvin Emnes would be a very good signing. Plays the lone striker role very well. Think Boro would sell at the right price too
