Official transfer news thread

Nah, one thread wouldn't work for me. It would just be full of nonsense, and would be hard to spot when something is going on.

My approach is to ignore the threads that refer to a signing, and have say 2 pages after 4 hours of being started. Then you spot one that is about an hour old and it's already run to 4 or 5 pages, then WOWZERS, there is something in there that has got everyone excited, and I jump on.

That filter system would die if it's all within one enormous thread.

It is Monday 23rd July and there is no official transfer news today (so far).
There is of course an hour and a quarter to go until our traditional "player reveal" time of 5pm but with Gus in Spain I would hazard that we are unlikely to hear anything today.
As this is the official thread it seemed worthwhile to post something here although possibly not.
I may or may not have some news, or indeed no news, to report on here tomorrow.
