Oh, and there is more chance of hell freezing over (my words mind, not Coppell's!) of BHA signing Kanchelskis (spelt wrong, apologies!!!)

Cheers Dancin' Ninja.
Thats so bollox! What is the reason for possibly being a season late? Does MP and DK already know that the builders will sit on their arses and drink tea and smoke fags all day and put us a year behind schedule? Or is it that DK already knows that he will struggle to get the money together?

Very cagey and vague about where the £48 million (!) is coming from....mentioned Football League trusts, sponsership deals, bank loans but people are worried......its an awful lot of money to raise

Ninja has summed it up pretty well. Like a lot of these meetings in the past not that much substance came out of it. DK took some stick for selling BZ on 'the cheap' - but argued his case pretty well by stating that no one else at this time offered anything else realistic. What do we do, keep him and get 50% effort and see his value fall further or take the best offer we had. Dick said the latter was the only option.

Pleased to hear SC say that Henderson is joining on a months loan, but still concerned that no permanent forward has been signed. As one of the audience stated - what happens if both Leon and Henderson get recalled or crocked ? Still I think this is slightly more positive than risking McPhee from the start. I just can't see him getting any goals - however hard he tries.

Overall the meeting was a bit short, and DK kept using that 'Ring Fenced' phrase he loves so much when referring to the money needed for the new stadium. About two hundred people must have been there, - sorry, were Ring Fenced in.

Yeah Ninja, I have had all the faith in the world for DK, but this has left me a bit disillusioned. I believed he knew where the money was coming from until now. I seems that with the university thing sorted and Prescott has more chance or shagging kylie than not approving Falmer. It seems that Falmer is now within touching distance and DK knows it. He's probably now starting to worry how we are going to build this thing. If Brighton were even given a tenth of 48million then the rest of the league would be up in arms. 48million is a long way off, hence DK pushing back the Falmer date. Who knows how many more times the timescale will be extened by another year and another and so on. At this rate, we'll be at Falmer by 2015/16 season.

I'm not suprised. I know people have said the funding comes from a different revenue stream to the club funds but I Still say it dosen't add up that we had to sell Zamora because we are skint for £1.5 million but yet we have funding in place for a £48 million stadium.

I hope I'm wrong.

That point was made (we are skint and had to sell BZ on the "cheap" vs we have funding in place for a £48 million stadium)

DK basically said TRUST ME!!

Only time will tell

One final thing!!

Coppell announced, without announcing the name, that Roberts will be the No1 keeper

Some numpty then got on the mike and said FDM was well respected and loved by Brighton fans (true) but we (ie the fans) would want FDM as No1 keeper, not Roberts!!

Not true sir, dont proclaim you speak for all Albion fans, I'm quite happy for Roberts to be No1 and so were all the other sitting around me

Right choice I think on most peoples 1st eleven on here Roberts was in goal. However, seems strange we have 2 top line goalies but will rely on loan forwards for the season.

Oh Well

DK is right to state that borrowings for capital expenditure are totally different to borrowings for revenue expenditure.

Keep the faith........there is no alternative sadly

No. I went with my Aunt. We sat around a table with some friends we know from football. They sat behind us at the Goldstone. Parents are off on their hols at the moment.

Coppell let slip that he has been disappointed by the form of two players (gave the impression they were 1st teamers) in pre-season games

Having not seen any of the games, can anyone shed any light on the players he was referring to??

I didn't pick up on that. I also don't think anyone has let themselves down.

He said it just after he was praising the work ethic of Robbie Pethick................you should have listened more rather than texting your mates all night!
