Worthing
Unbelievable. I think this could drag out...... Poyet fails to attend later in the week, Board sack him without him present, then matter gets dragged out in courts with Poyet accepting a last minute settlement after much expense......

Unless after the sacking a club comes in for Poyet in September after a poor start and he waives unfair dismissal claim as per Adkins.

Well really helps us NOT
Also Barber obviously reads NSC based on his comments on BBC

The club's chief executive Paul Barber said recently: "We are aware of some ill-informed and unfounded speculation appearing in various places. It is both unfair and unhelpful to everyone concerned.
"I appreciate that the issues we have had to face in recent weeks have created some uncertainty and concern for some of our supporters.
"Unfortunately, this is something we must all live with for the time being.
"Our priority will always be to ensure that we continue to manage the variety of situations that can develop within the club with as much confidentiality, professionalism, and dignity as possible for everyone concerned."

So, I think we can safely speculate that he both didn't turn up on Friday and today. The Gus Poyet is bigger than the club roadshow rumbles on. He clearly couldn't give a monkeys about the club.

Nothing's changed then. They're accusing Gus of something he feels is wrong and isn't playing ball until they sort it or sack him. That how I read it anyway. What a mess, no winners.

Even if he feels he has a good case, surely he must turn up and follow due process.

To all the Gus lovers.....

ok, you don't seem to mind...

Late for Palace game.
No Vicente when fit.
No care when losing to Palace at the Amex.
Horrific comments afterwards.
Holding the club to compensation / legal ransom.

....what about now.....not even turning up to his disciplinary hearing? a few days before the pre-season starts?

I just think he's taking the piss now. How long has it taken him to work out one date on his appointment calendar?

If he's disputing a legal matter then his own legal team will have advised him not to attend while the matter is resolved. The club can't sack him, Poyets legal team would have a field day with that and we'd be even worse off than we are now. We need this resolved ASAP but in a way that doesn't mean months possibly years of legal teams posturing towards each other before an out of court settlement is announced. The only winners in that would be the expensive lawyers.

Please show proof for the majority of that, i will let you have the turning up for the hearing (although there could be reasons behind that, acting on advice etc.)

Gus will have been invited to the hearing to put across any further information he may have relating to the accusations. If he has nothing further to add he does not need to attend and it would have stated that in a letter. The club will write to him again with one further invite and it will state that if he fails to attend then decisions will be made based on the facts already established.

Therefore predict that Gus has nothing further to say and he will attend no further hearings, the club will make a decision based on thefacts they have and none of us know what they are. Gus will be acting on legal advice with actions that he takes.

I know a fiar bit about this type of process and suspect that I am not far off.
