Tomorrow, I'm going to up my game as I strive for full fitness. This time, walk half a mile, jog very slowly for 20 yds, walk 20 yds, repeating the jogging and walking and do this for a mile. I can't wait. It's like I've never ran before!
i am in need of new running shoes, I am wanting to buy the identical asics shoes online that i have at the moment
any advice as to where
and what i need
can the shoe be identified by this : ASICs 1011 A690 size 44,5 ?
Didn’t wear the Vaporfly but ran a 6:14 PP Magic Mile today. 33 seconds better than last month. First half felt good, then a struggle to the 3/4 stage and nothing left for a pick up at the end. Hard racing solo and still unfit to go over a mile. Love the feeling you get afterwards. 30 seconds to find...
Put on my Albion drill top today for a 10-miler in the beautiful afternoon sun.
Like the Albion I crashed and burned. Midway through mile 9, whilst checking over my shoulder to see if it was safe to cross a road, I planted my foot on a patch of black sludge made up of decaying leaves and other wintry muck and went over. I cut up my left knee and both hands in the process, but just got up and carried on. Managed to make my tenth mile, which is all uphill, the best of my run at 6:38 before inspecting the self-inflicted damage.
Fortunately, more damage to my pride than anything else!

Increased my recovery programme today as described above. Extended the total distance from 1.75 to 2.5 miles. Leg feels a little sore but I don't think I've done it any harm hopefully. Cycling 10 miles tomorrow, then the following day, a repeat of today's 20 yds jog, 20 yds walk and repeat for the 2.5 miles distance.
Sounds hopeful and good self discipline.
If it’s the calf that’s sore, be very careful continuing.
Thanks for the advice. After not being able to run for nearly two months until now, as soon as I feel anything in my calf, I stop. That's what I did today. Just the slightest sensation after about 2 miles, so then just walked briskly back home. Cycling doesn't affect it at all, due to different muscles being used as someone on here has said earlier.

That's a big improvement. I'll just check the wind speeds! Well done old(ish) boy. I'm sort of on the injury bench. Just the troublesome knee; if I 'manage' it, it's OK.
Did a 10k the other day and ducked below 49, but not showing anything like your form.
PS your AG for that one?
