First time at hove park, fair to say it was quite busy! 19 minutes and change which is alright seeing as I haven't done one since November and includes a nightmare start

You're easy to find with your username! You'll have to attempt to take the NSC hove Park Challenge Cup of big nuts later on in the year.

Wow! 493 at Preston Park and 120 on the Prom. That's nearly 1200 across the three. Better get Bevendean up and running soon!

Bevendean is starting Feb 20th after a trial one on the 13th. It will be mainly off road and very hilly (but what goes up,comes down) and is at least 2 laps. Not sure it will take many of the 1200.

Some good Park Running today. I decided to get some miles under my belt to shift the festive weight so I ran 11 miles along the undercliff just after midday in 1:14:38.

Anyone run the Chichester 10k before or considering doing it this year? I haven't entered yet but it looks a good flat course.

Shall we get a NSC Park Run in the diary for late Jan or early Feb?

I've not run Chichester but it seems a very high standard with runners from all over the South. Finishing times are very impressive so, yes, a fast course I think.

Didn't catch Mr 99 or Dazza, but quite pleased with an improvement of more than a minute from last week. Back to sub-22s!

Couldn't believe where everyone came from this morning. I genuinely thought that one of the others wasn't happening today.

Out for a long run this morning as I ramp up the marathon training. I'm up for a NSC challenge in Feb - but not the first week of the month.

It's pretty minging out there - seafront heading west was tough. Managed a half marathon in 1.50 and I think I spotted @Guiness Boy, but couldn't be sure. I think I was still half asleep 😄

That is pretty consistent - well done.

I was planning to Parkrun yesterday, but as I was rocking a temperature of 39c decided against it.

An 11 miler beset by problems this morning. Setting out in to the gale my fingers soon suffered from wind chill even though I had gloves on and I had shift my water bottle about while concentrating on getting blood in to them. This in turn led to a total lack of form. Then my normal route by the Adur was flooded meaning I had to double back straight in to a pair of large dogs urgently engaged in sniffing each other's arses (at least till I turned round, then barking at me became more fun). On the seafront road out to Lancing the wind was so strong I could barely move and the double back meant I had no real idea of where I should turn to make the 11 miles on the plan. And Greg Bobkin still doesn't recognise me :)

Sorry GB. My excuses are that it was early, plus the fact you look very much like two other runners I know - which confused me 😃

Sorry to hear about your run - we all have them though, and you'll be back on it next time, for sure.

That's ok on both counts. The second half of the run was much better than the first and I keep changing my default running top to even thicker and more windproof ones!

Well that didn't go well. 10 miles planned today. Got to 4 miles then decided to step on a broken bottle. Much blood and end of run. Very annoyed

I would be interested to know how people find the time to put in enough training and juggle work and family commitments?

I love running and particularly on trails and used to run competitively as a youth but I now have 2 children under 5 and my Wife and I have just started a business. My running is therefore really sporadic and sometimes I don't seem to be able to go for weeks on end. Evenings and weekends are spent either in the business or looking after the kids.

Does anyone else have a similar challenge and how do you get around it?

I'm one of those weird morning people, so I typically get up and out by around 5:30. Today was a late start for me... uploadfromtaptalk1452424196824.jpg
