Well done @Greg Bobkin , do you have an AG% to add to that SB, and I'll update the table when I get back from my holibobs.

Those on the NSC Strava group will have clocked where I'm sunning myself, and that I did go for the 245 in the end. I am mightily impressed by my new purchase - so much information on my wrist, more on the app, and plenty of battery life.
Thanks, CO. AG is 62.16%

It's great to see the table back in action. Well done and thanks - it provides a great incentive. After a dismal 18 months of injuries, I hope to be able to contribute to it in a few weeks.
No problem, I've been using it to motivate myself as much as anything else.

:)

Enjoyed getting into the running again this last month and meeting up with many of you lot and others at Parkrun. Finding my way back was great fun. I'd pick a pacer starting at 27" first week and then ran the last km flat out. Worked down and followed the 24 pacer last Saturday and got home in 23:30. Great strategy as It's stopped me overdoing it whilst building up.
Then Tuesday stepped barefoot on a discarded needle in the bedroom and put 80% of it horizontally upwards into the soft tissue behind the middle toe. A&E could detect no permanent damage but I got my tetanus booster. Can't drive let alone run, so a number of days off before starting again.
Happy running everyone.

Missed the game yesterday as I was taking part in the South Coast Ultra 100k. My first (and possibly last) time at the distance ! 😂

The course runs from Polegate to Arundel and takes in all the lumps and bumps along the way.

Tough going in the humid heat. But got round in 17hrs. And It’s absolutely true that Ultra Running is just an eating contest! Fantastically stocked aid stations ls along the way.

Exchanged a few “Seagulls” with Albion fans as I came past the Racecourse P&R around 50k. That really picked me up.

Got difficult once darkness descended and the headtorches came out. The SDW is tricky underfoot at best of times, doubly hard in the dark. Had to save the running for the odd tarmac section around Amberley.

Legs & feet in bits today, but enjoying the highlights from yesterday while refuelling on pizza.

Back at A&E today. Found out why the pain wasn't getting better. Waiting for an appointment to have foot cut open. A while off running and Saturday's holiday departure looking doubtful.

My run streak is over after 1314 days and 10,384 miles.

Went out for an 11-12 miler yesterday evening at moderate pace as it was still quite warm.

For the first time ever, I felt so tired I had to stop, sir down and rest. And again. And again. And again.

My pace was getting slower and slower and it was a real struggle to even swing my arms. When I got home I was completely drained and unable to do a great deal.

Today my Apple Watch gave me an Atrial Fibrillation warning. Checking it, I noticed it had done the same last night, but I'd missed it somehow. They've carried on through today, and I can feel my heart is all over the place. Just seen a GP who advised me to stop all strenuous activity as well as drinking alcohol. A massive double blow.

I’ve just had an ECG which confirms I have AF.

Waiting to hear from the doctor as to what happens next.

Jumped in the air with pain and on landing snapped the needle in half leaving it deep inside and under the metatarsal joint. It could be hard to find it apparently by the surgeon but I can't leave it in as It's just where I push off when sprinting.

Jeez! That sounds rough. Hope everything is OK.

At the risk of misjudging the mood, it sounds like that warning was run-streak defining 😳

Sorry to here this - thank God for technology tho. If you didn't have an ECG on the wrist you might have just pushed on through.

Wishing you a speedy recovery - but enjoy the break - you've banked a few rest days!

Dizzy, flutters across the chest, out of breath, tiredness, panting, erratic heart rate?
You did exactly the right thing in seeing your GP. Best of luck…

Shit to hear mate, good that you were sensible and sought medical advice. Best to play it safe for the time being.
