Very excited to be doing the Bournemouth Half next Sunday. My first race since a 10k in T Wells back in 2014 (and that was my first race ever). Hopeful of breaking 2 hours and then getting a time on the NSC board! I'm not a natural runner, but I've loved the training.

Update from Bournemouth. I'm no runner and arranged to do this run as a pretext to help me get fitter. 57 years old so be kind.

Dry run but a howling wind. I hadn't handled that on my training. Bloody hell, it makes running tough. Anyhow, I found it tough and had been hoping to break 2 hours. In the end I did 2:07:32

I loved the event. Will defo keep running. But not today thank you.

Well done for getting it done! Sums up running very well. 😆
Keep at it and you're day will come! Do you want me to add you to the table as a marker?

Bloody Worthing!
Crocked for 2 weeks with the bad back. Saw a physio on Thursday and felt a lot better to the point where I risked running Worthing PR today.
Relieved to have clocked 20.33 (83.13%) and even more relieved not to have had a reaction from the back.

Next week is Worthing's 250th (and my 249th - bugger!).

Not sure where all the fast guys were today, my time would usually be around the 30th but today 17th.

How many NSC'ers made it successfully through the London Marathon ballot today?

I was very lucky and will be running my second London Marathon in 2023. Excited but very much thinking about all those icy cold early morning runs!

After at least a decade of ballot failure I somehow got lucky today. Wasn't really prepared for that, not been doing as many miles recently due to knackered Achilles tendons and a very hectic calendar. Guess I'll have to give it a go now, though!

I just got in on good for age time from Manchester in April, seems they reduced the under 40 cut off time from 3hours to 2:56:30

I have @Garry Nelson's teacher magnificent 5kPB 20:14 and 84.43%
@big nuts well executed marathon PB at Chester 3:06:42
@Badger magnificent Marathon PB at Berlin with 2::55:38
@Couldn't Be Hyypia waiting to join the coveted table sticking at the job for a running return of 2:07:32 at the Bournemouth Half
Also @Pondicherry can jump aboard if I get your exact Barnes Green sub 1:45 time.

You can't keep a good gaffer down – spotted @knocky1 on the entry list! I'm not having you saunter past me again up Mt Caburn again, though

You'd eaten too many cakes at Glynde and were enjoying being with a group of females up Mt Caburn, if I remember. Beast From the East NSC pair meet again. I've entered to slow me down over the winter with slow, long, downland runs and hope to build some strength to keep injuries at bay next summer.
Plus, it's the best race I've ever done for a fun day out and having a pint of Harvey's and a freshly baked pizza at the finish line is sheer heaven.

Moyleman is now OPEN: https://register.enthuse.com/ps/event/TheMoylemanMarathon2023

EDIT: It's now sold out so you'll be on a waiting list.
Makes it more special only having 500 (or is it only 350 as now on website?) runners but many will be disappointed. Wonder if it's based on how many barrels of Harvey's they have. :ROFLMAO:
I worked out that it would go live at 12:58:56 a click a second earlier would not have immediately connected. Better go for a run in the pissing rain now to celebrate.

I wonder if another race organiser will take it on? No doubt it has got more expensive to put on events, but I think BM lost its way a bit, for example by expanding out to the trail marathon, faffing around with the route, etc. Go back to basics and it could be great, like it was...
