Thanks for the encouragement this morning! Perfect conditions out there, although the sun did peak through at 09:05 after a morning of cloud.

I ran a good first mile (5:51) and knew I had a chance of a pb. Came in at 18:37 which is officially a 2 second pb so very pleased with this.
knocky1 if you could do the leaderboard honours for me please.

72.25% age grading - I'm getting closer to the front runners/old gits now!

May well skip Trailblazer tomorrow or run it slowly if I enter on the day.

Good month of running from you. Congratulations on PB. Not easy at your over the hill age and with previous fast times to beat. I haven't had a pb since 1996!

Age for age my time at your current age back in the mid 90's puts me around 20 to 40 seconds ahead but my decline had already started. So we'll settle for frontrunners rather than old gits when it comes to Age Grade percentages.

Hove Park for me this morning having rolled out of bed at 8:30. It's a genuine disappointment because if I'd woken up earlier and had a more thorough warm up, I think I could have been on for close to a seasons best but instead, I felt heavy and confused and dragged myself around in 19:51. And I find myself falling down the league table!

Congrats to big nuts for continuing his run of form and hitting a new PB. And to Curious Orange for (temporarily) overtaking me.

Promised myself I'd try some different ParkRuns this year, so became a tourist today and made my way to Tilgate.

I thought it was a great course.

And happy with my 23.29. Still a good couple of mins of my PB but improving still... and I'm now officiallly declaring myself fully fit again!

(The only downer was I pusuaded son #1 to join me and he must have over done it a bit as he was sick in the car on the way back🤮 ... I'm off to get a bucket of soapy water now to deal with aftermath)

Worthing 22:02. About right for where my fitness is right now. Well done to others on some good times and to knocky1 for being sensible enough not to succumb to temptation.

Had 2x400m bouncy jogs this morning without any serious problems. Then an 800m swim, a curry, 12 miles of flat bike speed intervals (trying not to puke up curry) and now think I'll jog/walk to the allotment.

Bewl Water Sprint Tri just 2 weeks away and think I'll be running in 3-4 days. Really enjoying the cross training and will return to the Olympic distance next year.

I thought Tilgate was quite a tricky course. Very bunched at start and some nasty sharp little slopes. Also on the day I did it there were some rather 'difficult' dog-walkers trying to make a point (almost certainly Palace fans). Sorry to hear about your lad.

My lad was fine by the time we got home, probably gulped water down too quick on top of the run.

Thankfully no dog walkers being difficult today.

I enjoyed the variation on the course, and the one slope at halfway to get the heart pumping. Although there are a few pinch points, plenty of opportunities to overtake (unlike Claire- my least favourite that I've done).
The start was did catch me out... one minute everyone was milling around listen to the pre run chat.. then 3,2..1 GO! without really lining up. Then a mad dash for the path, funnelling in and having to slow.

Thinking of trying Horsham next time I get the tourist urge.

Glad someone is reading the table! Bob!

I'm fairly sure Mr Blobby ran a faster 10K than is on the table at Worthing but I'll let him confirm for himself.

Talking of which, if you're reading this mate, are you going to run Bright10 in October? Our times in the 10K, 10 mile and HM are so close together I'm pretty sure we could pace / race each other to PBs over the next few months.
