Just about everyone I saw gave something apart from one guy who pretended to throw some money in but really have an empty hand. :nono:

There was no real pressure to give to the collection so a bit sad someone felt they had to pretend.

I saw two other collections today - Nightingale and Rocking Horse so all in all I think that is a good total.

Funnily enough several people asked if this was the "Wrexham Collection" and happily donated once they knew.

Yes he made a point of coming over and waved his hand over the bucket and said 'all the best' but nothing came out. Not one penny.

What was the point?

Thanks everyone for their efforts for us today. Today itself was a great day. It was fantastic to see so many people turn out at The Racecourse ground in our hour of need.

I was delighted with the attendance and the reception the Brighton fans receive today.

I started a chant "We love you Brighton we do" and it spread like wildfire along the kop.

We noticed a few of the lads in the PGS to the left we and started singing "Brighton give us a wave" and they did :)

Then a very loud chant of Albion Albion Albion.

Then at half-time a great round of applause for everyone who carried the Millenium Stadium banner around the pitch.

A very memorable day.

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I did see you today Statto carrying the banner in the middle! Agree with what you've said the fans were true legends and Richie et al were amazing at Brighton to!

If theres anything we can do just say.

I'm sure our fans wouldn't mind putting their hands in their pockets for the alive and kicking fund at our next game, what do you think?

I would say put all your money to your own cause, your needs are greater then ours.

Believe me we were helped by other fans during our darkest hour.

Perhaps that's why we know how desparate things can be and want to help in the best way possible.

The only problem is once your situation is resolved another bastard will try and ruin another club.

I think that would be the general opinion on here. It's good to know we would have your help if we ever need it in the future.
Maybe you could organise a Brighton fans v Wrexham fans match with the entrance money being split 50/50. Include a couple of past stars and you could raise a decent amount............sorry, just an idea.

Ideas always welcome. Perhaps we do need the money more than you at the moment but lets just say that you earnt yourselves an IOU today from Wrexham fans and we won't forget

fans united :clap2:

I am going to try and sort this out so anyone who wants to play pm me.

Definitely keep the money for yourselves though.
