One cold day in Buffalo, fortunately I've got the clothes to keep warm for 4 hours of tailgating and a game, but I think -10 is getting near the limit for me.

We now get to play KC, surprisingly enough the Mahomes Chiefs have never played in Orchard Park and that puts them at a disadvantage as visiting QBs often struggle learning how the wind affects the football in Orchard Park. Really looking forward to this one... and a visit from T. Swift. A few tailgate photos from Monday

The old Skint hoodie is one of my favourites, warm as can be!

Great photos! Having been to Algonquin when it was nearing -20 I know how you feel, and can feel the cold in Buffalo in my bones from here!! 🥶

Here's one we weren't expecting...Wales and Gloucester winger Louis Rees-Zammit is giving up rugby to head Stateside.

A few players have made the switch in the past - Christian Wade and Alex Gray who's now Apollo on Gladiators!

Even so, Rees-Zammit is at the top of his game, only 22 and already capped 32 times by Wales.

"...he will now travel to Florida this week to start on the IPP - a 10-week programme which gives athletes from around the world the chance to earn a spot on an NFL roster. "

Interesting, & good luck to him (I would've jumped at the chance too in my playing days tbh, if the IPP had been around), but with a few guys having tried and failed to make the NFL beyond a practice squad place, I highly doubt he will make much of an impression. Hes not physically huge either tbh, so which position is he hoping to play?
Has he even played the game before? He says his dad used to play and hes always been a fan of the game, but its so different to rugby....and trying to learn the nuances / terminology / speed of the game while playing will be incredibly difficult 🤞 🤞 Age is on his side though, and if he hasnt cracked it in a year or two, at least he can go back to rugby.

Any thoughts why they brought Matt Patricia in?
(I know hindsight etc), but it didn’t improve them….
Patricia, as a senior defensive assistant, was essentially an on-staff adviser. Sirianni said the reason he hired Patricia “in the first place” was because, as a 19-year coaching veteran, Patricia could help Sirianni “in situations as a head coach and with the defense according to the us athletic

yet defense fell apart

Baffling decision by Cleveland to fire the OC Alex van Pelt, RB coach Stump Mitchell, and TE coach T C McCartney today.

With the extensive injury list weve had since week 3 when Chubb went down, you would think they would be applauded for having helped get the Browns to an 11-5 record and a Wild Card spot. The RB game did OK after Chubb went down, and Njoku blossomed in the second half of the season (even Harrison Bryant came up clutch on a few occasions) & Stefanski himself calls the offensive plays, so not sure how AVP can be 100% to blame?

Just goes to show how cut-throat this sport is....

Blimey, I hadn't head that. When you consider the season we've had after the injuries to key personnel, and the fact this was only (I think) the fourth time in THIRTY YEARS that we've made the play-offs, by our standards this has been a spectacularly successful season. You'd have thought they'd have given them all raises rather than firing them.

Conflicting reports about AVP, some saying hes already fired, this from Rapoport saying hes still under contract...

Totally agree with you though - I really expected some coaching stability this off-season after a successful year! Now there are (possibly) three guys, who did well for us in difficult circumstances, uprooting their families and starting all over again...while you know who sits counting his $230m contract after doing nothing for 2 seasons now....

Browns have interviewed Carolina Panthers Duce Staley for the RB Coach job already apparently @Brovion
Seems incredibly quick to me, and makes me wonder if there wasn't something behind the scenes with Stump Mitchell etc that was kept under wraps....?? 🤔

Remind me again how the Panthers offense and RB's in particular did this season...? Oh yeah.... 🤦‍♂️

Blimey, really? Thanks for the update. As you say, not on the face of it a massive upgrade - or even an upgrade at all. Maybe, yes, stuff is happening behind the scenes that we don't know about. Ah well, this is the Browns we're talking about.

Cracking few games ahead this weekend.

Both #1 seeds in action tonight, think they’ll both have too much for the Texans/Packers but both the young QBs are firing hot, think the 10 point spread on both is too high but can’t see any upsets here.

Over the moon my Bucs are playing at 8pm tomorrow evening, makes a lovely change from last week. Think the Lions will have a bit too much for us, but hope I’m proved wrong. The pessimism from supporting a historically average NFL team never goes away.

Whereas the Chiefs v Bills is the match up of the playoffs. Think whoever wins this will make it to the Super Bowl.

So excited

Well done to the Ravens who showed just why they're the AFC's #1. Deserved winners on the 2nd half showing alone.

Still, my Texans have had a very strong season surprising and delighting the fanbase in equal measure.

With HC DeMeco and the Offensive ROTY Stroud, y'all should know it's all good in H-Town. We're fixin' to go places.

Packers Niners shaping up for a great finish - three lead changes already, when every other playoff game hasn’t had one between them…

Yeah, experience won out.

Gutted the Packers lost it, they really shouldn't have done.
A lot of points left on the pitch, esp in the first half.

We kept them in it and paid the price, not too much to feel down about though, esp as the NFC match is early hours Monday morning 😆

Great base for next season.

Some really good young players
