Well... That was horrendous. The Cowboys took us to pieces everywhere on the field. Defensively, we were awful, they were fantastic. Kirk was sacked 7 times before I turned it off. Offensively, we had nothing. The O-Line was shot to pieces when our LT Darrisaw was taken off for concussion and Kirk was just not throwing. When he did throw, easy catches were dropped. Dallas did well to stop the Cook run game after their last two weeks.

40-3 is a horrendous result for a team who was 8-1 at their own stadium. We never beat the Cowboys, but last night was just awful. Hoping this is just a blip in the road and we take lessons from it, but that was a very tough watch.

Well Browns lost again, but that's not what I want to moan about. Anybody else slightly disappointed with Sky's match coverage this year? No Shaun Gayle, no Coach Reinebold, no NFL podcast heroes (one of whom, Marc Sessler I think, is a big Browns fan and thus a fellow sufferer). Instead it's gone a little bit 'BBC' with over-enthusiastic analysts who add very little actual analysis; it's all "Woah! Yeah! My man! Great play!" I miss the more serious analysis that they've had in the past.

Delighted with the Falcons win last night. Unfortunately, I can only see the route to the playoffs being via a divisional win and I just can't see the Buccs letting it slip. I believe Falcons/Buccs is the last game so could be a straight shoot out

Bears fan here. Absolutely fuming, obviously.

Another tight loss for us that we brought on ourselves. Having watched the football and walked the dog I only got to see the second half, just in time to see you complete a 17 point streak, in reply to a 17 point streak. We then have 1.43 to either win it or get in FG range and come up with the worst playcall I have ever seen, sending Fields on a run when he was clearly badly injured and needing a time out to fix him even though he got out of bounds (on about a three yard run) before throwing a pick due to the pressure brought on us by that call.

Arrrgh.

Gave up on Sky game coverage a few years ago tbh, and we watch NFL solely on Redzone these days. I did catch the studio chat a few weeks ago for a few minutes and Neil Reynolds (jeez that man is BORING) kept calling Jason Bell "J-Bell", which annoyed the hell out of me (you're not from the streets of LA Mr Reynolds :sneaky:), so I turned off.

The studio stuff used to be so much better with Nick Halling and Kev Cadle (RIP) - but an old school friend of mine used to work at Sky, and she said the budget for the NFL was always very small, so maybe they've restructured it again to save more money?

I know Coach Reinbold doesn't come over until December / January normally, once the Canadian league wraps up, so he may yet make an appearance this season.

I moved to Game Pass last season because, understandably, Sky hardly ever showed The Bears :lolol:

If you can put up with the vast number of adverts on a typical US broadcast you get to pick your game and normally listen to some decent commentary and analysis.

You do end up with an earworm of the Liberty Mutual ad for the next three days though.

Yeah I thought that about Reinebold, so I googled him after I posted. Apparently he's not in the CFL anymore, he's now Director of Player Development at the University of Hawaii, so maybe he can't come at all in his new job. Pity. But also didn't they have that big fat bloke with the blond hair? Haven't seen him either.

I know what you mean about Reynolds, I preferred Halling as well, but the other week Reynolds was absent and his replacement was even worse, she knew absolutely nothing. Made me grateful for him!

Ahh, ok.
I know Reinbold used to coach at Hawaii, and still lives there (spends all his spare days surfing!) so you may be right - although i dont think Hawaii are anywhere near a Bowl game this season again, so he could still come over to join Sky as their season will be done shortly.
Assuming you mean Rob Ryan? Hes back in the NFL coaching fraternity with the Raiders I believe. No idea whats happened to Sean Gayle though.

Rob Ryan! Yes, that was his name, thanks. Pleased for him that he's got a coaching job again. Anyway even though their absences can be explained it still leaves the fact that Sky seems to have moved towards a more 'fun' approach which I personally don't enjoy so much to the extent where I find it grating.

Scott Hanson over on RZ is so much better - the only way I can watch it now as I cant be done with studio analysis.

My Texans tighten their grip on the #1 draft pick with an effortless 27-10 home defeat to Washington.

A single first down and 5 net yards in the entire first half was always likely to prove tough to counter.

The current 1-8-1 is likely to improve on last year's 4-13 even with a potential upset against the Jags.

It's all going to plan. Things couldn't be better. Really.

A rare comfortable win for the Commanders, a game where we were the better team and actually looked it. Really enjoying this run we are on and it is nice not have all hope extinguished by this point.

Looking forward to the Falcons game next week which I expect to be exceedingly close. I think the Falcons are sneakily underrated and it will be a very competetive game in front of what may actually resemble a home crowd for once.

Can't stand the Sky coverage these days as Reynolds is so boring and, as others have said, the analysts now are nowhere near as good as there used to be. I had GamePass but the cost was getting too high to justify and it also had more technical issues than you would expect for something that they charge so much for. Now I use one of the IPTV services which is much more reliable and considerably cheaper.

As for my Broncos, yet again we conspire to lose a close game. Had to be up early so watched to the end of normal time but just knew that we would not win on O/T the way this season is going.

Another week….another win. Battle to the end.

it will take a crash of epic proportions for the mighty eagles not to make the playoffs.

As a Seattle fan, we are hugely enjoying the season your Denver Donkeys are having.

Every loss makes the 1st round pick you owe us even more valuable - currently at #5 I believe. Thank you.

Plus watching Wilson flounder, crash and burn is fitting schadenfreude. His ego and demands overbalanced his worth some time ago, so great to see him at a team where ahem “he won’t be held back by the players around him” anymore. And of course you’re now committed to paying him roughly 98.5% of your cap space for the next trazillion seasons too - good luck with that.

Harsh…….

But accurate.

Crazy trade, Wilson was beginning to go backwards last year……
