Reigning world and European champions Spain face Tahiti, whose 23-man squad includes just one professional player, in the Confederations Cup in Brazil tonight. Live on BBC Three at 19:30.

Spain recorded their biggest ever win 80 years ago when they overcame Bulgaria 13-0 in a friendly.

The highest competitive international scoreline is currently Australia 31 American Samoa 0, recorded in 2001.

Can Spain put more than 31 past the team ranked 138 in the World?

Here's an odd fact for you. The referee of Australia vs American Samoa was from... Tahiti!

Spain will rest a load of first choice players, and bring in the squad players.

(Torres, Carzorla, Mata, Silva, Navas....)

Not as much as the strength of their U21 and the age groups below that that are all ready to take over from the seniors.

The U21's alone have people such as Munian, Thiago, Batra, De Gea, Montoya, Illaramendi, Tello, ISCO(!) etc etc etc. CRAZY

That too.

They've just WON the European Championships at U-21 level, with an entire squad of players from outside of that squad, and have an entire further competitive squad at the U-20 World Cup, featuring players like Delafou who if he was English would have been fast tracked into being a bit-part player at senior level, instead of getting valuable tournament experience.

They must LAUGH when they see the likes of Zaha do a few stepovers in the 2nd division and then get put STRAIGHT into the senior team for a 5 min cameo.

We are SO stupid.

The Ship Inn, Lyme Regis have got the game on tonight, they're doing free paella and they've got a tombola to win prizes such as signed goalkeeper gloves and a sweatshirt + whenever a goal is scored they're selling bottles of San Miguel at half price (£2.15) for 2 minutes after a goal.

Could be an expensive night for them.

:lolol:
