I haven't got involved in the vuvuzela debate thus far - but what I did notice when the goal was scored was the absebce of the usual swell of noise from the crowd as the move built up and to some extent the roar from the fans as the goal went in.

Likewise during the game the white noise from the horns drowns out the crowd noise and songs and also the change in the sounds as attacks ebb and flow. I am really not anti the vuvu but it seems a shame that the human noise that is the normal background track to a game is drowned out by a noise that lacks nuance.

Good game to watch that. Lovely tempo to it and Chile look good. Sounds like they may still go at it against Spain - in which case that should be a classic.

Nice result for me too. £2 on Chile 1-0 @ 5/1
