Phew. Bennett did his best to make a mess of it - shinning the ball while in the clear - but redeemed himself with the finish.

Maybe we can play with a bit of confidence and verve in the second half.

HT 1-0. Albion much the better side overall imo. Passing more direct than recently just mostly not able to find a finish for the moves either through lack of options/vision or just poor delivery. Colunga has made a couple of decent balls but seems mostly another who shouldn't be let near a corner.

The frustrating thing is that despite Sami playing such a positive formation we look so ponderous going forward, no one quite seems to know where the next pass is supposed to go and this hesitancy makes us look so predictable and easy to defend against. It needs some confidence and flair to give us that 'x' factor.

Meanwhile it is alarming just how easy it is for the opposition to create chances. They know we are vulnerable to counter attacks.

These observations would be fairly understandable at an away game - but at home?

Certainly they had two chances when they should have scored but they didn't take them. Apart from that they haven't offered much imo.

Brilliant in the first 20 minutes (again) but after that we seem to revert back to the same old pace and it's frustrating.

We're winning though, that's the important thing. Change Colunga for Tex/Paddy; he doesn't seem to be on the same wavelength as everyone else.
