Looks like our two remaining loans to the SPL are petering out now. Jenks was never liked by the fans at Aberdeen, and I don't think he's played a single minute since they changed managers. Cochrane has gone from being a player Hearts fans reckoned they couldn't afford five or six months ago to a player they don't want to keep, and he's gone from being a regular starter to a full time bench warmer. He wasn't helped by the switch from 3-4-3 (where there was room in the side for two LB/LWBs in the team) to 4-2-3-1, but he seems to have lost form/gone backwards as well.
New loans for both next season, I should think - although Cochrane could be a surprise squad member if we decide to have an out-and-out defensive LB available as an option, and Jenks could maybe have half a season improving our U23 midfield (plus getting a little TLC at his home club!)

He hasn’t been there in a long, long time. Hopefully he’s over his injury issues and he’ll get some minutes.

Yup, might not get any today as long as they're leading... but they've been quite awful the last months so I think there is a fair chance he'll get a bit of game time until the end of the season.

Now that Molumby's loan to West Brom has been made permanent (allegedly, Has it? Any official anouncement been made?) they don't seem to want him in the team at all - on the bench again tonight. Will he be an unused substitute yet again?

Seems there's more than one kind of new manager bounce!

Östigård starting for Genoa (as usual) against Lazio. From his time in Italy so far it is probably 50/50 if he scores a goal or gets a red.

Mixed fortunes for our Championship loanees today. Clarke and Molumby played the full 90 in West Brom's win over Blackpool, and Van Hecke played the full match for Blackburn. No sign of Khadra though (injured?) Sima has also disappeared again following his brief spell on the bench at Stoke a few weeks ago.
Connolly was substituted after 82 scoreless minutes at B'mth - doubt if he's won any more friends at 'Boro; Wilder seems to have faith in him - but the fans don't! Needs a better loan next season - and Taylor Richards got 15 minutes game time at losing Birmingham.

....... or so it seems today. No sign of Khadra for Blackburn or Taylor Richards for Birmingham; injured or dropped, anyone? After his brief cameo as an unused bench-warmer, Sima has disappeared from Stoke too.
Connolly got a few minutes at the end of 'Boro's game against Huddersfield, Van Hecke's started for Blackburn, and that's it, though expect Clarke to get a start for WBA in this evening's match.

Steve Bruce has dropped Clarke again - didn't work out all that well last time he did it, but for some reasom he just doesn't seem to fancy him. Bench for Connolly again today too. No sign of Taylor Richards for Birmingham - injured? - or a not very successful loan?

Clarke has started 13/15 Championship games where Bruce has been in charge. It might be because they have nothing to play for? I’m not sure.
