Rather a dull game where blackpool scored at the perfect times for them, which killed the game. Was hoping that Yeovil would score in the last 20 minutes to make it a tad more exciting.
Blackpool did deserve the win and can't really recall many chances for Yeovil rather than the free kick that was tipped over the bar just before half time after Blackpool had taken the lead.
I noticed the crowd was lower than our final in 2004, but thought it was abit crap where the middle tier (club wembley memebers) was all but empty.
Blackpool thoroughly deserved it. Yeovil never got started, sat back and let Blackpool attack them from the off. Their manager must have been fuming at how they backed off and offered them every shooting opportunity.
Looking forward to seeing the likes of Southampton pitching up at Bloomfield Road, with nothing behind one goal and a bunch of temporary seats all down one side.
On to the Championship play off then, anyone want a bet on how many times Sky will mention that the game is worth £50 million to the winner? I even heard them bring it up today on the League One broadcast, so god knows how often it will be mentioned tomorrow.
By the way, did you know the Championship play off could be worth £50 million to the winner? I heard that on TV you know.
Oh i just rembered that before the game they first done a Yeovil fans give us a cheer trying to get the crowd going like they did with us and some fan gave hes reason why Yeovil should win, highest league postion ever etc... Then they played some Yeovil song. They then did the same with Blackpool saying how they deserve to be back in the 2nd tier after all the years in the football wilderness, then they played glad all over as there song!
Before the game they showed highlights of the semi finals, would have been really good if they done that for ours, and as blackpool won whilst leaving the ground i had to put up with Glad all over again!
