Haven't braved the walk over yet, but when I do I'll report back.
Still raining, not too hard though.

The wesr stand has been born!
Probably 2 dozen pieces of steel are in place.

It looks like you can see some of the West Stand steelwork up looking behind the South Stand (from the Webcam) , or it might just be part of the South Stand, not really sure (sorry about the pointless post of the day here!!)

Stopped by at 10.30 for 1/2hr, pissing down but with my Sussex CCC hat on managed to find a piece of hoarding removed by contractors at Uni end and had a good view of west stand steels being lifted into place and being bolted together.
Got a few photos, if anyone can pass the advice of how to upload them I will.
Contractor I spoke to said they will do the other end section before the middle, dunno if he was joshing, but it makes sense if you think about it, has to fit to the dogs head which is a fixed point, then drop the middle in between.
Bloody cold and wet there though, dont envy the workforce today or Everest.

Middle section is next to go up. It's all connected to the crane and it has been sprayed with water (JS & I presume)

The west stand...

Just far enough away from LDC
The east stand is like a nervous first try compared to the west stand.

For teenage fumbling (east stand) read full on, animal sex complete with noises and additional implements that is the glory of the West Stand

Can anyone point me to an aerial view of the stadium.

I thought the main Lewes Rd ran North to South and am really struggling to reconcile the names of the stands.

Lewes Road runs roughly east-west (and back again).

The stand names are a bit misleading. The North Stand faces is in the north-west. The East Stand is in the north east. The South Stand is in the South East and the West Stand is in Woodingdean.

A27 runs west to east (or east to west if you're going the other way)

Thanks Everest. Been out for a couple of hours, so this was a great to see when I returned. Keep up the good work.

You're having a laugh. The sea is south, Lewes is north so how can the road run East/West?

He reckoned they had to move the middle to allow the other end to be correctly manoevered
