Thank god the grass is growing as there is very little to see on the seat front.

Perhaps one end will be deck chairs like at the cricket.........

It is amazing what a difference the green on the pitch makes. I was able to see the edges through the 1901 Platinum lounge windows yesterday and that was exciting enough, but today's webcam footage is just fantastic.

Neither here nor there
Why is the grass apparently lusher around the edges? Yes, I know there's a stretch of astroturf on each wing, but on all four sides of the seeded area there's definitely a darker hue. Why is this? Optical illusion? Orders from Gus?

Probably where the tractor was turning round and dropping more seeds on the edges in the process ?

Probably more "passes" over the ends as the tractor turns to go back down the pitch, therefore more seed = more grass

That shadow across the pitch is going to play HAVOC with the TV cameras.

Maybe a roof wasn't such a good idea after all.

That doesn't account for what will be the touchlines though.
The tractor only turned round at the N and S ends.

Maybe they forgot they did the edges and did them again to make sure.

Something to do with Grass growing better when against an edge and shade. Grass grows taller round a tree's base for example.
