For example I often check the webcam but do not comment, It'd just be easier to keep it on the first page.

I reckon the reason quite a few want it as a sticky is not for the posting side, but the ease of getting to the web cam link. As an avid reader and seldom poster, often it is not about the posting but the looking, having this at the top just makes it easier to have a daily check of the progress inside mecca.
