could be a surprising but better bet as el abd and thomson seems to be a good holding partnership in midfield and disturbiing it could be asking for trouble

Just got back too, everyone played well, Westlake, Cox, Whing and Elphick were pretty outstanding. Doncaster were by far the best team I've seen this season, their movement was brilliant. Great result

Whing can play Tuesday but out of swindon and forest games

Doncaster seemed to be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation with the forwards being given the option to swap positions with each other which caused our 4-4-2 formation all sorts of problems. Their number 8 sat deep in front of their back four and was often not picked up allowing them to pull us out of shape and give their forwards space. Wilkins changed it after 25 minutes as we reverted to the diamond formation, Cox moving into the centre behind the front two to support them going forward and keep an eye on their number 8 when they had the ball, Westlake and Thompson moved into the centre of the diamond and El-Abd sat in front of our back four which allowed him to pick up the runners having been chasing shadows for the first 20 minutes. Once we did this we pushed them back and began seizing the initiative ourselves. The team as a whole played well today and deserved the victory against what I thought were the best opposition I've seen at Withdean this season.

Westlake's volley from the corner would have been a contender for goal of the season if it hadn't been blocked on the line IMHO - absolute BELTER.

Nice to see a bit of fire in the bellies. Whing was particularly up for it - he practically HUGGED Nicky Forster for tracking back and making a crucial tackle late in the game.

Good stuff.

Doncaster were a nice team to watch in midfield, and well organised at the back, but seriously lack a killer touch upfront.

i thought they had mccammon??

McCammon was truly awful, I think we won one header and his longest run on the ball was about 3 seconds.
