What exactly does that mean? Sorry for being a dumbass but I don't do betting so I haven't a scooby what you're saying.:p

You would need to refer back to my earlier post!

But in summary -- for a book to be "true odds" it should add up to 100%. However the bookies have to make a profit, so they build in a margin. This margin will usually range from 8% for a football match to maybe 30% for a horse race (occasionally more). these would then be expressed as 108% books and 130% books.

The fact that VC is betting to over 200% means that EVERY SINGLE RUNNER is theroretically half the odds they should be so there is no value.

In otherwords, Tilson should be 5/1 for value; Poyet should be 12/1; Wise 14/1 etc.

f***! Of the frontrunners, I'd take Poyet. What do we really know about Tilson?

2 straight promotions, struggled to keep side in the champ, similar run to our 12 straight losses, plays attacking football, and has a very experience CB, who can also play LB, and seemingly loyal.

I can't help but feel these odds mean totally nothing in relation to who is likely to get the job. All it reflects is the betting, and that is probably largely based on rumours heard, on here and elsewhere. Therefore it is a circle with no reality.

What has Tilson really got that others haven't?
