There's a lot of weird ways to make music and a lot of weird instruments out there and I love watching/listening to that type of out-of-the-box creativity. Surely people out there got some great examples/videos?

I've spent way too many hours listening to weird homemade instruments, helicopter string quartets and God knows what. Gotta say that the Marble Machine remains my numero uno of quirkyness/brilliance though.

I thought it was going to be a thread of bagpipes and ukeleles

Then I realised it contained the word music in the thread title.

Lars Ulrich infamously used one of these on Metallica's 2003 album St Anger on every bloody song! :ffsparr:

This was recorded on a tour bus and you can hear the gear changes in the bridge as well as the engine throughout the recording. The drummer used a hi hat, snares and a cardboard box with a foot pedal

Whenever anything to do with strange music crops up, this is always my go to video. It's probably not meant to be comedy gold but it cracks me up every time. He's loving life, bless him.
