2nd October 2010

Tranmere Rovers 1 vs 1 Brighton & Hove Albion

After two successive home games and a full compliment of points, the Albion hit the road again, Prenton Park being the final destination.

Glenn Murray scored his first goal since the 2-0 victory over MK Dons, putting the visitors on course to victory. Only to be denied three points by a late goal from Cresswell. The Seagulls survived a late scare and came away with a hard earned point.

9th October 2010

Brighton & Hove Albion 1 vs 1 Bournemouth

For the second successive season, Sky selected a south coast battle to beam to the masses. An absolute rocket of a shot from Kazenga LuaLua put Brighton in front. The points looked to be sealed until Elphick was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area under pressure/assault (delete as applicable) from Steve Fletcher. The linesman decided it was a penalty from his 'vantage' point and the Cherries snatched an undeserved point. Poor finishing and bad luck played a huge role in denying Brighton the spoils.

16th October 2010

Charlton Athletic 0 vs 4 Brighton & Hove Albion

South-East London was awash with Palace, Millwall, Brighton and Charlton fans, a puzzle of rival fans. The only battering that ensued was on the green, green grass of The Valley.

Brighton were never really stretched and Calderon opened the scoring in his goal after an inviting cross from Painter. Charlton managed to edge their way back into the game and a smart save from Ankegren ensured Albion went in at one up.

Some village defending allowed Glenn Murray a leisurely Saturday afternoon stroll into the box to slip the ball home in front of the loud and impressive Albion fans. Another peach from substitute LuaLua and a swooping header from Sparrow completed the rout.

23rd October 2010

Brighton & Hove Albion 2 vs 0 Yeovil Town

A relaxed, gentle and professional performance by Brighton. Never in any doubt. One in 5.3 Glenn scored again and the marauding Spaniard, in the shape of Calderon, completed the victory.

30th October 2010

Peterborough Utd 0 vs 3 Brighton & Hove Albion

The Posh 'cup final' turned into frightening horrow show for the home fans. Right from the go, Brighton controlled the game. Birthday boy Ashley Barnes broke the deadlock a third of the way through the first half. Boyd lost his head (and perhaps a weeks wages) and saw red.

Bennett won and missed a penalty. Inigo Calderon dummied in a second (his third goal in three games) and the result was never in doubt.

Brighton proceeded to continue where they left off and stroked the ball about, akin to 50s Hungarian national team. Another penalty was won and Ashley Barnes made no mistake, sending the away fans (all 897 of them) into raptures.

Brighton declared and a cricket score did not materialise.

Dicker, didn't go to Tranmere but he absolutely ran the last three games.
Could be any number though, El-Abd, Greer, Calderon, Bennett, Murray, Kishishev all fantastic.

Inigo Calderon . 3 goals in 3 games along with 3 clean sheets. Enough said

Was close for me but i voted for Murray as looks a different player and now looking more and more dangerous in front of goal as well.

My 2nd place would have been Calderon and 3rd properly Dicker

Drive by abusing
My Murray bias is leaning towards him but facts don't lie 3 goals 3 clean sheets one of our most consistant players.
Going the right way to cementing his place as a legend

Unbelievably hard call.

So many of them have played pretty much perfect games and are in the form of their life it seems harsh to choose one.

Ive gone for Murralderabder

Could have been any of 3-4 for me, but I went for Ankergren, he's easily the most improved player
