at times his clearances are a bit rash but generally hes confident on the ball, likes to get forward and makes some very good challenges.

he'll never play for arsenal though.

100% right, good that he's tallish and can compete in the air.

I would like to see him paired now with Guy Butters for a run of games.

Lynch is a fine player but all this season he has had these strange moments of lack of concentration where he switches off, and we can't afford that.

Thought his performance there was superb given that it was his debut and he was playing against one of the toughest wingers in the prem he did a great job despite the early nerves.

He had played against him earlier in the season in a reserve game at Upton Park so he knew a little of what to expect.
I like him.

Lynch left-back?

Probably, hard on Rents though.

The obvious flaw is what to do with right-back, I think we either need a right-back loan or a central midfielder loan so we can put El Abd back there.

Interesting, I've only seen him at WHU but I didn't think he was much better than what we all ready have..

I thought he had a good game against Millwall. He's obviously still learning but I thought he looked quite classy, taking into accout he isn't really a right back. We currently have two left footed players in the centre of our defence. So I think it's worth trying Lynch -LB, Butters and O'Gooner in the centre and EL Abd - RB. I thought El Abd initially had an impact in midfield but I think that is wearing off as the other teams now know what to expect. Of course we could do to bring in an experienced midfielder.

I don't know why Arsenal and co take these lads on because they have no intention of ever putting them in the first team. I expect he will end up like McShane and make a decent Championship player or like Sidwell and end up with a lesser Premiership side

Is O'Cearull a right back though? His passing isn't very clever.

But yes, defensively, he looks pretty solid.
