so is my baby. only the viral version not the real deadly type but enough to land us a nice stay in an mrsa infested hospital until moving elsewhere.

Takes a long time to get over that, and its very very dangerous! A friend of ours had shingles and he's 60 - took him about 9 months to feel right again....

I've had shingles and they're bloody painfull, I felt better when I took my welly boots off and emptied them back on the beach though!

I hope she gets well soon, my boy had that as a kid and it can be nasty.

thanks doug, she is well on the way to full health now. i think we could have stayed out of the hospital but she was terribly dehydrated and needed fluids.

My brother had fairly serious infantile meningitis and improper treatment left him with epilepsy, thankfully the state accepted responsibility and he had an anterior temporal lobectomy (I think?) at 18 which has left him as "normal" as a certified management accountant can be ;)

Hopefully it won't be anything like this for mini-Starry and there's a quick full recovery
