Birmingham fan here. I know I'm a bit late but I just wanted to say I had a great day in Brighton on Saturday. You're a great club and I don't think anyone would begrduge you success in the future. Fully expect you to go up next year.

Loved the vibe outside the ground before the match. Hundreds of people getting off trains every few minutes, music playing, and fans milling around at the bike stand area.

Found the ground extremely impressive from the outside, and very tidy inside although a little unfinished due to the empty corners. Will they be filled in soon?

You deserve a lot of credit for your home support - we could hear you throughout the match, which is more than can be said for most teams at home these days, ourselves included.

Apologies for the homophobic chants by some of our fans - you'll find that the silent majority of us were embarrassed by that.

Thanks for your comments.

I was born in Solihull, brought up as a Bluenose, watching the side of Francis, Hatton, the two Latchfords, Gordon Taylor, Kenny Burns etc before our family moved South when I was 10 so I still have a soft spot for you guys and wish you well in the play offs.

I love hearing Keep right on.... football songs that are unique to one club are special - I thought your support on Saturday was excellent, probably only slightly behind Leeds who also sold out the away end (and it was a Friday night and on TV) and were loud throughout.

Plans for the ground - we willl know on Wednesday this week if we have permission to add another tier to the East Stand (the one opposite the main stand) and to fill in the corners at the away end. The other end (home end) will (hopefully) the following summer.

Glad you had a good day out - hopefully with decent beer and food, helpful stewards etc Brighton will be a 'must do' away game for Championship Clubs.

Can't see Cov getting anything at Southampton Saturday, so Blues v Fat Sam in the Final? Good Luck.

Having cut me teeth in the hoolie days of the late 60's & 70's (and quite enjoyed some), I'm really proud of the family atmosphere inside & outside the ground.

It really is a great family 'do' and, as said, away fans are welcome to join us in the bars after the game and thakfully, this has not blown up in our faces so far.

Some opposition are still looking for our 'mob' but there isn't really one. I suppose, having been deprived of a home for so many years, we really just want to enjoy our ground and show off to others just how good it can be. I think quite a few opposition fans have been impresed to find that there is 'another way' to enjoy football. Passion & banter for 90 mins is great but, when all said & done, we're all footie fans.
right said fred ???

Once a Bluenose, always a Bluenose. :clap2:

That post does our "Second City" proud. Thank you for taking the time to come here and post it. Good luck in the Playoffs.

A mock up showing the 2nd tier on the East Stand and corners filled in at the away end:

You guys were definitely up there for best away fans this year. Great noise at times and some brilliant costumes!

Great pic. I just said wow x 5 seeing that. Not being pedantic but i'm sure the corner slopes down from the West middle tier - which makes it look even better and not so isolated.

Also, are the South East corner seats not coming up slightly higher than that - ie where the away fans will be? Genuine question as i'm not sure.

PS - Great comments Brum fan. The Amex from the outside is indeed amazing. You clearly know your football and what we've been through to get this stadium. We are surely the proudest fans in the country of our clubs' ground - and rightly so. So comments like yours will always be gratefully received :)

PS - I hope you beat hoofball in play-offs ;)

All answered with the picture posted above! Which as you say, makes it look even better
