It's not The Wire as such, it's a true story re BPD.
But it's impossible to watch without thinking 'blimey this is like The Wire', what with it being a David Simon production.

I've watched 5 of 6 and it really is quite something, so well put together.
Very much a lesson in storytelling.

Oh and other than 'Best Actress', despite the strength of TV drama at the moment, this will win ALL the awards.

But its origin is HBO so I'd imagine Sky Atlantic will have it, if they haven't already.

Heard it described as "The Wire's son".

I very very strongly urge you not to look ahead, but definitely look back.
I'm enjoying the insight from one particular 'just watched...' podcast.

Trust David Simon to tell the story, which does conclude after 6 episodes.

American political thriller, a few strands already in the air.
A little La Carre through ep1, but ep2 is already fleshing it out.

I loved the bear but boy is it a tense watch.

There are a number of great US shows which are yet to drop over here, all are excellent and not to be missed.

The man who fell to earth. (Chiwetel Ejiofor)
The offer, which is my favourite show so far this year. All about the making of the godfather movie. Matthew Goode as legendary movie producer Robert Evans is amazing, as is Giovanni Ribisi's portrail of mobster Joe Colombo. 10/10.

The Offer, which is my favourite show so far this year.

... is good isn't it. Made me want to watch the film again!

Which I won't just yet, 'cos I stumbled across Black Bird (Apple TV), Taron Egerton in a Dennis Lehane-true-story-inspired prison thriller, which is so much better than I expected. Taron Egerton for me is always quite slappable in a Freddie Fox kinda way but here he is very good indeed; plus there's one of the best TV weirdos I've been creeped out by for ages. I blitzed through the first 4 episodes which was a bit silly as I normally wait for the whole thing to be available. Now I have to do it weekly

(Ray Liotta's last appearances too, for what it's worth).

Trapped - Icelandic series just started on BBC4. Anyone started watching it and is it any good?

Yes indeed, it's very good indeed.

Series 3, creatively titled Entrapped, appears on Netflix Sept 8th.
