Obligation to carry and produce ID

Please could you clarify which legislation is being used to impose the requirement to carry ID and to be required to produce it not only to gain entry to Selhurst but on route to the ground?

Dandyman, Just to clear this up once and for all. Sussex Police have had no part in this. They are conditions on the ticket which is for a private event. The clubs have decided the conditions not Sussex Police.
