You cant really compare the two - oasis are more indy whereas greenday are punk. However, both bands are at the top of their respective genres, and personally, being an indy man, oasis are my favourite. ;)

Not really a contest is it as Oasis will win everytime.

Some of the older Green Day stuff is pretty good and they were a sizeable band. Now they release utter shite and are a massive band. Cannot work that one out, then again U2 have been peddling crap since day 1 and they are humungous.

Whilst nothing will ever live up to the Definately-Maybe/(What's The Story) Morning Glory era they are still a very good act.

Albion & England forever.

Somewhere over there...
That is a hard question

I have seen Green Day live and have nearly all there albums, and I think they f***ing rock.

I haven't seen Oasis live and nothing beets Whats The Story Morning Glory and Difinitely Maybe but the rest of their stuff aint all that great (although im getting into their new album) and the first EVER album I had was WTSMG

oooooooooooo its going have to be Green Day but only just

Having spent an evening with Green Day at the hotel bar, I can confirm that they showed absolutely zero gay tendencies, were a brilliant laugh, and displayed the ground-level humility of 'regular blokes'. They have been touring and recording, working hard for 2 decades plus, and their music gets better all the time - as their latest album attests.

Oasis slapped themselves on the back after a couple of hits in their home country and copy every rock 'bad-boy' cliche like their lives depend on it - coming out with nothing groundbreaking as far as I can hear. If they want to compare themselves to The Beatles then fine, but that only makes me realise I'd still rather play Revolver than anything by oasis.

I like them both but Green Day are a better band, more consistant and a far better attitude. They're not up themselves like the Gallager brothers.
