This isn’t really answering my question  . Why not grab a drink and then watch the support band?

I don’t have a strong argument other than, why not? What else are you doing which is of a higher priority?
Before I get told off for derailing, I am replying to some derailed conversation....

Arriving late or staying in the bar, while not knowing who the support was, meant I missed seeing artists I love such as Diary of Dreams and Kevin Ayers

Always best to arrive on time and listen.

had Liam at Reading on TV yesturday, after half an hour i realised what a dreary, monotone, colourless music it is. sounded like one long track. i've sung alongs in the pub, loved Champagne Supernova, i dont hate them just dont get the adulation. chap on radio gave an answer - it was the drama between the brothers, not the music that made them so prominant.

For me, it's more a case of what else would I do in that time? I am going to a gig next Monday, first band will be on at 8 and I need ot be there at 9 for the main band. So what better options do I have from between 8 and 9 than grabbing a drink and watching some live music?

Is there a cheaper ticket option to listen to their two best songs (which were years ago as they haven't done anything remotely as good since), then leave in order to avoid all the rest of their stupid self aggrandizing, egotistical and arrogant self entitled bull dust?

Spotify is about a tenner. Or free on YouTube.

The amount of people falling over themselves to tell everyone how indifferent they are to a band is genuinely hilarious.

The amount of people who are going to shell out a ton of money on this durge is genuinely hilarious

Today has breathed life in to an old joke

How do you know if someone on social media doesn't like oasis.

Don't worry they'll tell you.

Who watches support bands?

I have seen;

Beastie Boys supporting Rollins Band

Rollins Band supporting James Addiction

Pixies supporting Pearl Jam

Soundgarden supporting Stabbing Westward

Faith No More supporting RHCP’s

My favourite support band that I've seen were called Splint.

Not because they were any good (Christ knows, they weren't), but because it's the least google-able band name I've ever come across.*

*there do seem to be some actual relevant results when I just checked - but for the most part it's just pictures of people with sprained wrists.
Try googling the band “A house”.

It's almost as if music is subjective and none of it is actually 'shit', but people just like different things. And one person's opinion on a band or artist makes fack all difference to what someone else thinks.

Who would've thought?

I can't believe you've overlooked the first half of the League Two clash of the ages when the unstoppable force of Milton Keynes Dons (15th) will smash into the immovable object that is Salford City (20th) at home.
