Loving people cleverly pointing out the brand new observations that Oasis are heavily influenced by The Beatles. It’s funny because since Definitely Maybe was released in 1994, I’ve never once heard anyone make this comparison before.

I like their earlier stuff a lot. Very reminiscent of The Beatles.

The first time I saw them was when they played on The Word - Supersonic, I think - and it was as clear as day that they were going to be huge.

Quite like it, but yes, a lot better tunes. The Masterplan album has some of their best ever material on there.

Mum didn't have a clue who they were only that they were a lovely pair of lads, haha. It was only when they again hit the headlines that one of them had got disruptive in one of the pubs in the village did she realise. She said to me what a load of rubbish it was as they were sat with her all evening! Liam even called her mum.

Yeh, the best Beatles tribute band ever (as I said at the time).

Stone Roses, on the other hand, completely passed me by - never even registered with me.
