When the ticket prices were announced, I decided I was out.

I am so glad I made this decision. The whole thing has become a bloody corporate nightmare.

I saw Oasis a few times in the 90s. The last time I saw them, at Finsbury Park in 2002(?) was a bit shit - beer flying everywhere, and it was almost impossible to hear the band because of the mass karaoke in the crowd.

I was quite excited about this reformation when it was announced, but by God, everything about this has been distasteful.

If you’re going, hope it’s brilliant.

Yeah, female journalists attract that kind of rumour...
don’t know if there is any truth that rumour, but Morgan was her boss who gave her professional breakthrough job at The Sun. That’s probably where the rumour started

Not sure if anyones seen this or been posted before, but I only stumbled upon it a couple of days ago, and thorougly enjoyed it.

Actually hearing Noel proper laughing out loud, being interviewed by Russell Brands writer, Matt Morgan asking a few normal and some outright funny and ridiculous questions..... 2nd is especially good.

Few years old but highly entertaining stuff.

All this moaning no one was forced to click pay now.
True. But it’s hugely disappointing if you’re into something and you’re priced out it. Bit like supporting a football team.

Would I pay £400 to see the Albion in a champions league final if that was my last choice of tickets probably yes I would. I wouldn’t moan about it I’ve made the decision.
You would moan if the guy literally in front of you paid £150 - the price you were promised when you joined the six-hour virtual queue.

And then UEFA announced Brighton would play in two more Champions League finals, and loads more tickets were going on sale.

I can see some upsides to this scenario.

Only 1/14 of those that wanted a ticket got one, that's 7% for 17 shows.

I don't think the other 93% are going to fit in 2 extra shows.

Nor was anybody in the 7% forced to buy. They could still try and get £150 tickets in this round and flog their £300 face value tickets if successful.

They'll be no shortage of takers

If you think price gouging is cool, I'm not going to argue.

Let's hope you're not the victim in the future, eh?

In other news, in the NYT, Ticketmaster deny using dynamic pricing (after Oasis apologised for the use of dynamic pricing).

“Ticketmaster does not set prices, nor do we have or offer algorithmic surge pricing technologies,” the company said in a statement. “Furthermore, Ticketmaster did not change prices during this sale — prices were established before the sale began.”
