Blimey - just got 2 via Twickets at cost price for standing. Not sure somebody why somebody couldn't go having only bought them on Saturday but quite chuffed.
Been looking all day and each time i click buy its always ," someone else is already buying these tickets" set-up notifications but none working.

How did you do it, just keep hitting refresh on thw all dates menu? Or hit refresh on a certain date/venue?

Please let me know what you did, and comp or mobile?

Great that Twickets cut their fees (I've used them many, many times) - but they need to do it for ALL artists/events!

In fairness this is because the seller has bought those at those prices - the very same dynamic pricing that’s come under criticism! I’ve sold on twickets a few times and they do ask for proof of what you paid if it’s more than the standard face value.

Still, if they can cap fees for the resale of Oasis tickets, they can do it for all.

(Obviously) No excuse for £100+ per ticket admin fees. That's actually more than Ticketmaster!

A great video... for fans and detractors.

The message from Noel to his fans about
his songwriting at the end of this can be so beautifully transposed into his decision making on ticket prices for the upcoming tour.

Oasis Fans: You can’t charge these tickets prices!
Noel Gallagher: I can and I have and you will buy them so f*** off.

For me, that is pure Oasis. This manc street boy attitude is their DNA, it’s their essence and what has made them one of the biggest bands in UK history. Unapologetically doing the tour for the money and squeezing as much of it out of their nostalgia seeking fan base is pure Gallagher brothers. It’s this pure, honest and sometimes cut throat and brutal authenticity that’s always made them box office. Good luck to them. If you want to see a band or artist that respect’s their fans, go see Paul Heaton!

Quite sad really, but power to their elbow they sell tickets.

So the bloke from Viagogo says the system needs a review. That's a bit like King Herod suggesting that babysitting needs legislation!

Where do you buy these theatre tickets? direct from the venues or through some agency?
Both. TodayTix or TKTS is generally cheaper by doing “Rush” or trying for lottery tickets, or sometimes clearance allocations, but this is more last-minute. But most theatres also use dynamic pricing like Delfont Mackintosh and ATG.

Excellent read.
You think?

Some very scattergunned opinions in there. And written from a music biz perspective.

Take this...

To Nandy, adult consumers are pea-brained imbeciles who, having stared at a bland Ticketmaster queue page for a few hours, become so cognitively overwhelmed they lose all concept of whether three hundred-odd quid is a price they’d ordinarily be willing to pay for a ticket.

Versus...

And...

I mean, maybe. Or maybe GBP £355 is just what an Oasis ticket is actually worth in 2024, so people pay it (safe in the knowledge they can always re-sell it for the same price down the line).

Justifiying £355?! BS!

BUT some interesting info about resale tickets actually being cancelled - I'll give you that.

They seem pretty confident tickets sold on 3rd party platforms will be cancelled. If this happens Ticketmaster will then resell even more standard price tickets as platinum so will be pretty keen on the idea.

Fans will be fleeced either way.
