I think I speak for many people (perhaps not all, but plenty) when I say that I think new Oasis music would be a bad idea.

Again, to clarify, this isn't a slagging off - more just that I don't think it would really work in 2024. Could be wrong though.
Not only would it probably not work but where's the incentive for them with the whole lot of effort of writing and recording new material. People are paying silly money for a greatest hits show and Noel will be able to cushion the blow of his £20 million divorce settlement.

Indeed, God knows how he would survive with the rest of his tens of millions. Can't be too careful, as you never know when you might need a new washing machine or fridge-freezer.

Lots of rumours actually about them going into the studio in November. Perhaps an EP. I think they’d love a brand new hit single to perform at the gigs as a statement of “we’re still relevant”.

But, in a way I hope it doesn’t happen, because I worry the strain of recording sessions in the studio ahead of a fairly tight deadline to get a hit single recorded and marketed could lead to a bust up which ends with the shows being cancelled.

Lots of hypotheticals and speculations in there obviously, but all from a place of historical precedent with these guys.

I had an opportunity in the ballot but presale seemed to mirror my experience for other concerts, unless others have had better luck. No way of choosing specific seats and primarily a chance for the promoter to shift the most distant seats or potential restricted view at top dollar. Taking advantage of the fans who most want to be there. I'll chance my arm at 9am at being able to choose a section I want. No issue for those happy to stand obviously, but for a couple of short-arses that's a bit of a waste of a lot of money.

It may surprise you to know that rich people are not totally adverse to being richer still and like to factor in things like tax.

Pretty sure the tour promoters will have contract clauses in place that will ruin the brothers financially if they cause the shows to be cancelled due to having a bust up. Huge rewards, but they come with huge obligations

Logistical question: when you get in, does it give you a way of seeing all of the dates standing is available for, or do you have to pick a date and hope for the best, risking losing invaluable seconds like a bumbling Crystal Maze nerd?
Tricky to be 100% certain, because I didn’t f**k about, but I believe there’s a separate queue for each date. So you need to choose early in process.

I was queue number 1271. Was instantly confident.

Just heard of someone with 1850 who didn’t get tickets! Prob v limited presale numbers for each date.

They’ve got a lot of form with this, three cancelled US tours for starters

For sure, but this time around it's all about the money
Perhaps, don’t care. West End musical top price premium seat for many shows is easily £150+. I paid £130 to see Glenn Close in Sunset Boulevard. Broadway is even worse, many shows are over $320 now.

For a last chance ever situation, absolutely worth every penny and I’d pay double if I had to, although not to a scalper as I bloody hate those greedy selfish scum.

Reporting that those tickets being resold will be cancelled.
Supposedly. A real unsurprisingly predictable story and the devil is in the detail. What steps have actually been put in place to deter and detect reselling?

A few years back my faves Iron Maiden were making a real effort. One of the measures being that the person named on the purchasing card had to be in the party entering the gig. It did cause some issues but resale levels were reduced

you don't think they'll be tempted to do "one last" tour/concert again one day

Which site are you gonna try? Ticketmaster, seetickets or gigasandtours?
