The most curious thing..
I am thinking of trying to extend the range of my wireless router using something like this.

Has any one else used these or anything similar, and are they any good?

Yes I use powerline adapters to connect my router to my Sky box. Both ends go through extension sockets which is supposed to be a nono, but works fine for me. Had them about a year.

I think the only thing to watch for is that both adapters are on the same ring main but as I live in a bungalow thats not a problem for me. :)

Apparently that does not necessarily have to be the case. i though they had to be as well, but heard that this is not so. Not tried it myself
