If I didn't have to put up with the bore that is insurance Mon-Fri 9-5

If you work in insurance I would suggest you seek a new career path or at the very least seek out an extensive training programme. I just hope you dont work for my motor Insurer as I would expect hetter from any contact with them.

Duly noted.

Please feel free to make my employer aware of your concerns as I'd openly accept redundancy and the lovely holiday/car it'd bring.
I keep trying to leave but they keep offering me more money to stay.

All the best.

My car insurance came up for renewal a few weeks ago. My 2015/16 policy was with Sheila's Wheels (yes really) and when they sent the renewal in it was for £150+ extra.
I went onto Compare the Market and blow me down Sheila's Wheels came up one of the cheapest.
I rang them, told them what I had done and they reduced the quote back to the CtM quote they had come up with.
That really P****s me off. But I have got free cinema tickets for going through CtM.

My mum was with 1st Central and I couldn't believe it when I saw her renewal documents a year or so ago to see that they charge you an extra £50 just to renew - I'd never seen that before.

That said, having had a quick search not, it seems that this has become a bit of a tactic of some insurers: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/33952126/your-view-on-eye-watering-car-insurance-fees

Based on this, even if they have withdrawn the fee now, I'd avoid them because the way it was presented felt very under-handed to me. I suspect many people were getting hit by this £50 without ever realising.

As someone who has a massive distrust of motor insurers (never had a fault claim) that is fxxkin shocking.

Never, ever, ever have any loyalty to any company in the motor insurance industry, and those who work in it should be regarded as low as estate agents, and lower than used car salespersons.
