Worthing
Need to get a new laptop mainly for business apps with the only game likely to be Football Manager. Probably looking at spending around the £1000 mark although cost isn't a real issue.

Any suggestions advice/welcome. Currently have a Samsung R780 with 8gb ram but it is giving me a few problems

Ive been through the same process recently, as recommended to me try PC Specialist and custom build your own laptop with the specs you want. Yor really dont need to overpay for Apple ???

Just checking the Asus laptops and they seem to be well rated

This. I have an Asus Zenbook UX303 with some extra RAM and an extra SSD, it's great. The battery life isn't amazing, but that's because I went for the more power-hungry CPU. There's another version which has decent battery life.

I also have a Macbook Pro for work (I'm a software developer) and I really don't see what all the fuss is about. It's decent enough but there's things which annoy me about it, and I still prefer my Windows 10 laptop.
