Hi

I'm hoping someone on here will know the answer to this.....

I have been tasked with printing labels from a spreadsheet database of contacts. I need one label per contact with a page of 8 labels being 8 different contacts

So far, I have created the spreadsheet in Excel. In Word, I have selected the spreadsheet as the data source and added the merge fields from the spreadsheet headings and selected all recipients

But when I merge fields, it only shows one label per page, instead of filling the page with all the different labels.

What am I doing wrong? I need to end up with one word document to email over for printing onto the actual labels

Help please!

In front of the PC
On the Tools menu, point to Letters and Mailings, and then click Mail Merge Wizard.
Under Select document type, click Labels.
The active document becomes the main document.

Click Next: Starting document

Then take if from there. I am guessing you are using a letter merge not a label merge.

Just thinking, and it might be a stupid question, but do I need to enter the merge fields across all the page like the label layout?

The labels wizard will help you sort that out.

The merge wizard sometimes only puts the <NEXTRECORD> field in.
You need to Copy and Paste the merge fields from the first label box into all the other ones on the page.
