Can anyone recommend a good one? It's not for a big job, just fixing some spotlights, but if I do it myself, someone's likely to be claiming on my life insurance policy in the not too distant....

Knock on the window of an EDF electrician's van when he's parked up and ask him if he does private work. Probably 90% do, you're guaranteed they're fully qualified and they'll do it at bargain rates.

Try DA Dray in Southwick. To be honest they're not the cheapest but their work is fully gauranteed and insured etc
