An interesting one. When I was last in Spain someone suggested that we were after him. I discounted that as rubbish but maybe there is some truth in it if he's prepared to go to Blackburn !!

Will be interesting to see how he does in championship

Wow, haven't heard that name in a while. Where's he currently playing his trade? Must be getting on a bit too, I remember him from the 2004 Portugal Euro's.

36 and not a prolific scorer but he has class and guile if he can manage a bit of rough-housing by more agricultural defenders than he may be used to.
Good signing by Blackburn who clearly have no intention of staying in the Championship no matter what people say about the Venkys and Kean.

Always rated him and would enjoy watching him play, probably a tad slow now he's over the hill but he was class at his peak.

I would give him a run out in the stripes (ours).

Blackburn have made good signings so far, I think they are going to run the championship this season.

agreed, them and Leicester.

us for top 10 again at best. Some very good sides in the league this year and I think the sides coming up will also prove to be very difficult.

Remember what happened to Leicester last season. They brought a nearly entire Squad and didn't make it. Same will happen with Blackburn, the fans don't want Venkys or Kean. These signings are only to keep the fans happy, lets see what Kean first six results are and then go from there.

Bollocks. Are you Mystic Meg?! No team in this Division will roll over and die against Blackburn and saying we'll get top Ten again, the season hasn't even started and the Transfer Window, has only just opened. Let see who Gus brings in first and foremost, our squad isn't complete yet.

I always thought he was a bit crap.

Then again major international tournaments and plying in the championship is a different ball game altogether.

Sorry, but that is a crazy opinion. We're only in July and our first pre-season Friendly has even come round yet!

and argubley our squad is curently weaker than last year when for a majority of the season we were second best, away form pants and very lucky with some late home goals. Im a realist, not blind as a lot on here. Yes we may strenghten in areas in the next few weeks, but so will others, we need to strenghen a hell of a lot to be in that top 6. thats just my opinion for whats its worth. A steady championship side for the next few years and i for will be happy with that.

Nuno Gomes is absolutely shit. Even before he got old and slow(er).

He'll be as good for Blackburn as Jon Carew was last season for West Ham.

This is the correct answer. Beautifully articulated.

Must admit I totally agree.
I can't see Blackburn being top half with the problems they have and the clown of a manager.
I'm probably going to have a few quid on them going down again to be honest.

They signed Fabio Nunes as well Portuguese U19 international left winger. Could be that Gomez is there to help the lad settle maybe? And sit on the bench.
